Did you know?
The sign warning for Polar bears in Svalbard is the only one attention sign in the world, that has a black background, so that the white bear can stand out!
We were indeed excited at the sight of the sign, however did not see any bears in the month of May, as it was spring here and the bears have moved up north. All we saw were reindeer, arctic dogs, foxes, ducks, and other birds!
